Orlando Pride
About
Orlando Pride is an American professional women's soccer club founded in October 2015 in Orlando, Florida, as the tenth franchise in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The team began competitive play in 2016 and has hosted home matches at Orlando's stadium, later renamed Inter&Co Stadium. Milestones in its history include the arrival of Brazilian star Marta in 2017 and Zambia forward Barbra Banda in 2024. The 2024 season marked a breakthrough: Orlando won its first NWSL Shield for the best regular-season record and then its first NWSL championship, defeating Washington Spirit 1–0 in the final on November 23, 2024. Those victories completed the domestic double.
