Kansallinen Ykkönen

The Kansallinen Ykkönen is the second tier of women’s football in Finland. Organised by the Football Association of Finland, it brings together clubs from different parts of the country at the level immediately below the Kansallinen Liiga. Following the regular season, the highest-ranked teams can compete for promotion to the top flight, while the remaining clubs enter a relegation phase. The competition therefore plays an important role in the development of clubs and players within Finnish women’s football.
