The WE League is the top tier of women’s football in Japan. It brings together the country’s leading women’s clubs in a national professional championship at the top of the Japanese women’s football pyramid. The competition is played in a single league table, with teams facing each other home and away across the season. The club finishing first in the standings is crowned Japanese champion.
