About
The Kvalifisering til Toppserien is the promotion-relegation play-off between the first and second tiers of women’s football in Norway. It involves clubs competing either to reach or to retain a place in the Toppserien. The competition is played in two stages: the teams finishing third and fourth in the 1. divisjon first meet for a place in the final play-off. The winner then faces the team finishing tenth in the Toppserien, with a place in Norway’s top division at stake for the following season.
